OUR STORY

Both Ashley and Joe came from agricultural backgrounds, with deep roots in cattle ranching. 

Joe grew up on a dairy (now commercial cattle) operation in South Dakota, while Ashley was raised on a commercial cattle operation in North Dakota—on the very farmstead where they now live. With both her mother and sister being veterinarians, Ashley was immersed early in the world of livestock care and husbandry, a foundation that continues to shape their program today (though she’ll be the first to say veterinary medicine is best left to the professionals!).

In addition to their ranch work, they both hold full-time careers in agriculture. Joe works as a certified farrier, while Ashley is a full-time farm program analyst and a part-time certified equine therapist.

After years working in the commercial cattle industry, Ashley and Joe made the leap into the world of miniature cattle, and they’ve never looked back. It’s been a rewarding journey full of learning, growth, and a whole lot of heart.
 

They're also raising their two children right alongside them in the operation - instilling the same values of hard work, responsibility, and respect for the animals they grew up with.  Farm life is a family affair at Linneman Littles!

Their passion for quality genetics, hands-on care, and raising well-rounded animals shines through in every calf born on the farm.
